Guys, I actually convinced myself that I wouldn’t be doing any fall shopping for myself this year. I told myself that since I was working from home and had “nowhere to go”, I would save all this money because I wouldn’t need any new clothes. Bahahahha. Even Covid can’t stop a shopping addict apparently.
Actually, I’m finding that I need a completely new type of wardrobe these days. Typically, I buy a few pieces to add to my work wardrobe each fall. I already had the foundations, so I just like to freshen it up with a new coat, some new boots and heels, and a few dresses and tops. I had a couple pieces I’d rotate on weekends, but I didn’t need much in the way of casual clothes. Now, thanks to Covid, I live in casual clothes and my work dresses and heels haven’t seen the light of day in over six months. Since I might get some side eye if I showed up at school pick up in this dress and heels, or my favorite statement coat, I think it’s time for me to invest in some more casual fall basics that I can wear to work from home, school drop off and pick up, and for weekend apple picking and adventures.
Since so many of us are in the same boat, I rounded up everything on my fall shopping list — a mix of jeans, sweaters, fall jackets for layering, and flats and sneakers.
