You know layering keeps you warm when just a coat won’t cut it, helps you stretch your wardrobe, enabling you to wear warm weather staples and light weight pieces into winter, and looks really cool and effortlessly genius when done correctly by street style pros. But for the rest of us, it’s awkward/uncomfortable/bulky and never looks quite right. It’s not that only certain people are born with the layering gene and the rest of us are just screwed. I def felt that way but have learned it’s less about your styling skills or ingenuity and more about having the right layering pieces and knowing these key layering formulas.

Layering is so important in the winter. I can experiment in so many ways too with layering, one reason why I love the winter so much.
