I recently went to Ann Taylor Loft to check out their Lou and Grey collection that my best friend and some of my favorite bloggers have been raving about. Honestly, I was skeptical. I just always think of Ann Taylor as where my mom shops, but I was looking for some good staple sweaters I could wear on our ski trip and weekends that were cute but if they got covered in baby food, boogers, barf, I wouldn’t be heartbroken and I could easily wash.
Lou and Greys sweaters are just that. Plus, they’re really soft and the fit is actually nice. Sometimes chain stores tend to have too boxy of fits for me, but I found the options I tried on really flattering. Best of all, everything was on sale and an additional 40% off so I scooped up three sweaters for less than brunch, and I’ve worn them nonstop since.
This off the shoulder sweater is perfect for winter dinner parties and nights out. It looks great with white jeans or regular jeans or black pants. You could even pair it with a black leather skirt or matching grey one to dress it up for work or a party. I love that it stays put too so you can carry kids around without adjusting your shirt all night. The cut is really flattering too. Not too tight but tight enough that it doesn’t feel stretched out or leave you shapeless or people guessing if you’re pregs.
I’ve already worn this tunic turtleneck to death. It’s the perfect length to pair with everything from leggings for apres ski or post yoga brunch to jeans or a skirt. I love how it’s a thin, soft material but still heavy enough for winter and to last. It’s also really soft and comfy and not at all itchy. There’s nothing worse than an itchy turtleneck right?
Anyway, if you’re looking to update your winter weekend wardrobe without spending a ton, check out more of my faves from their super sale.
