Everyone has pretty much decided that it’s fall, even though we technically have weeks left of summer and it’s still 85 degrees here, but fine, I’m going to give in — at least when it comes to my wardrobe. I’ve decided to wear all my super summery dresses this week, because it feels like it’s time to start whipping out the fall clothes. The hardest part about dressing for this time of year though is that it’s not quite full fall and the weather certainly isn’t fall, but breezy sundresses and sandals start to feel out of place. At the same time, 85 degrees is a little much to be whipping out the cords, sweaters, and cashmere. That’s why I love a good dress. It’s the perfect transition piece. The trick is to find the right print (something a little darker and more fall-y) but a light enough fabric and silhouette (avoid turtlenecks unless it’s sleeveless) so you can wear it while the weather still screams summer. These easy dresses are the perfect way to transition your wardrobe from summer to fall.
