I should really say what I wore to chase after James, right? I always am curious about what other people wear to dress for their everyday lives — work, motherhood, grocery shopping, a friend’s baby shower… you get the drift. Don’t get me wrong, I can’t get enough of street style inspo from celebs, bloggers, the fashion week attendees, but honestly, no one is really going to wear most of their looks IRl. They’re just too complicated and require a lot of trendy stuff, and while I’ll never stop scrolling through their looks, what I really need is somehow to help me get dressed for my actual life and all the boring stuff I have to do. I’d like to look cute and semi put-together, especially for work but honestly for the grocery store too (I swear I always run into people I know there when I’m looking at my absolute slobbiest), and I started this blog in part because I couldn’t find that kind of inpso. But as I said, it’s hard to find that kind of practical inspo and tips. In fact, one of my favorite blogger series is Cupcake and Cashmere’s Weekly Wardrobe. So I thought I’d start sharing what I’m wearing and my own struggles with getting dressed. I’m going to warn you, it’s not perfect, and some days what I thought was a cute look turns out not to be so cute. But my hope is maybe it’ll inspire me to look a little chicer and hopefully, it might help inspire you or to start a conversation about what the eff to wear. So without further ado, here’s my first installment of my new series — What I Wore This Week, starring me with some cameos from Baby James. Let me know what you think. If there’s anything else you’d like to see. Here’s what I wore the third week of September 2017.
