This has been a WEEK. I kicked it off trying to work and watch James while our nanny was unexpectedly out and followed it up with recording a podcast (which I can’t wait to share with you), a zillion meetings, a conference, and trying to coordinate a hundred things on the home front. As I think I’ve mentioned, we’re trying to move before the baby comes and it’s a long, complicated process filled with appointments, paperwork, and more appointments and paperwork, contractors, more paperwork, and it goes on. Luckily, my wonderful husband has been handling most of it, and hopefully, it doesn’t drive him mad. Hopefully, it’ll all work out and I will be able to share an exciting update with you soon and all our renovating and decorating plans and progress, but I don’t want to jinx us. But fair warning: If this all works out, this may become a home renovation blog, and I’m not upset about it. I have always dreamed of being Joanna and Chip Gaines, right down to the bakery, furniture store, and B&B, but that’s for another blog post. And for this one, I’m focusing on what I wore thee first week of June 2019.
Anywho, I’ve been trying to sell all the furniture we’re not taking and sort through all our stuff to start getting rid of all the things we don’t need. We always wait until the last minute to pack and move, and it’s just a million times more stressful and a lot of valuable items end up on the curb, so I’m trying to avoid that this time. I also know that the more pregnant I get, the less energy I’m going to have to pack (I am already more exhausted than I’ve ever been), so I’m hoping to get as much done now as I can. Unfortunately, this has all been happening, while work has been crazy for both of us (coupled with me trying to square everything away before my mat leave), and, of course, then our nanny has unexpectedly been out. Oh, and James doesn’t seem to care about any of this, and I want to get in as much as possible with him before his world is rocked, so it’s been a lot. Getting dressed has been low on my list of worries except that I’m getting to the stage where nothing fits and it’s hard to get dressed. As we sell more furniture, I have fewer places to put my stuff, but also, I’m just too exhausted and crazed to worry. With that said, I’m doing my best to pull myself together.
