Clearly the weather hasn’t gotten the memo that it’s March and spring is officially here (or well, almost, right?), because indeed, there were snowflakes sprinkling down on me and bone-chilling, blustery wind pounding my face as I commuted to work today. Good thing in a spring cleaning fury, I just decided to take out the spring stuff and pack away the heavy sweaters and scarves and coats. Joy. So glad I thought I was making my future self proud by getting ahead of the game. Luckily, I hadn’t made the can’t-come-back-from switch to tights-free legs yet. But I’m going to have to get creative with my layering to make my spring-y dresses and shoes work this next week as more snow is in the forecast, and I’m not going back to heavy winter gear. I just can’t. You know what I mean? I’ve turned a corner, and there’s no going back. I know a lot of us are already ready to dress for spring, not snowstorms, so I rounded up some ideas, tips and tricks for what to wear for a spring snowstorm.
Really, there’s no need to buy spring-y winter clothes. Frankly, I’m not even sure they exist. The trick is to mix in some spring touches to your winter layers. That will help you stay warm and practical in snowy conditions while still nodding towards the season that is upon us (or should have arrived by now… grrr). Wear a long floral dress with a turtleneck underneath or a sweater layered over and then tights and boots and a warm jacket. Or wear swap the furry boots for waterproof chelsea boots to ease off the wintry vibe. Consider ditching your parka for a long sweater coat. Here are more ideas for what to wear for a spring snowstorm.

I love the black and white turtleneck style sweater featured in on your last photo for the week of March 3rd. Where is it from? Thanks!
