One of my favorite parts of skiing? Apres ski. The hot cocoa, the cocktails, the chili, and of course, the apres ski outfits. Even if you’re not a big skier, the apres ski experience makes a trip to the mountains worth getting dressed up for. I love that it’s completely acceptable (and one might argue, expected) to wear leggings, boots and cozy sweaters, and big furry jackets — i.e., my favorite winter outfit combination. It’s comfy and stretchy and practical but also can look very chic. Apres ski outfits are my favorite to plan because I love to be super cozy and warm, and there’s truly nothing I adore more than furry boots and an oversized sweater.
As you know, I like to plan out my outfits in advance when packing for a getaway, especially for a ski vacation, which requires more outfit changes than a regular trip. Regardless of whether we’re heading to Park City for our annual Christmas trip or for a long weekend in Vermont with friends, I like to pack a lot of big, cozy sweaters, snow boots, parkas, and cute knit hats. My favorite apres ski outfits are a combination of cozy and practical with a few chic items thrown in to dress up the look.
If you’re not sure what to wear after you hit the slopes, here are my favorite apres ski outfits for every kind of plans you might have on your next ski trip. (Plus, check out my favorite apres ski sweater, what I wore on our last ski vacation, and ski trip packing guide here.)
