I know Valentine’s Day gets a bad rap as a cheesy Hallmark holiday, and I can’t say I don’t totally agree. But… after the Christmas holidays, Valentine’s Day is one of the few excuses to get festive during winter’s darkest days. I always find it hard to come up with Valentine’s Day outfit ideas. I like to look a little festive but I don’t want to look cheesy in head to toe red and pink (I also don’t own very much red or pink).
But this year, I’ve found some perfect Valentine’s Day outfit options. I’m leaning toward a blouse or fun sweater with jeans because it’s still cold here in NYC, and I haven’t felt at all like getting dressed recently, but we’ll be going on our first romantic date in a loooongg time (last year on Valentine’s Day we just ordered in after we put James to bed), so I’m pumped to dress up a little on February 14th.
Whether you’re heading to a party, finishing multiple bottles of vino with your girls (or your cat), or going on a romantic date (which I’ll be doing for the first time in a looonnngg time), here are some Valentine Day’s outfit ideas.
