The office holiday party is always the hardest to dress for. You want to look festive and a little extra glam, but you also want to be appropriate and profesh. Holiday parties are the perf opportunity to bond with your coworkers and rub elbows with the powers to be, so you want to wear something that sends the right message — boss lady but approachable and fun. Okay, maybe that’s totally overthinking it, and I usually end up just using our holiday party as an excuse to buy something I’ve been lusting after, like this floral dress. I’ve really been all about the statement dress as of late, and I love how this one has a sophisticated silhouette and longer hemline, but the slits keep it from feeling dowdy and make it easy to walk and dance. I love that the pattern feels festive without screaming holiday dress, so i can wear it all season. I also love that it’s dark enough that I can wear it to holiday parties with the kiddos and it’ll hide any sticky finger stains. The dress also has a fitted waistband, which makes it super flattering, but it’s not too tight or body-hugging. I work in fashion, so i stepped it up a notch with a fur vest and these heeled boots I’ve had forever and were seriously the best investment ever. If you’re struggling to find an office holiday party outfit, I’ve also rounded up a bunch more of my favorite picks at the bottom of this post.
