Whether or not you’re a football fan, or you’re just in it for the commercials (hi) and wings, Super Bowl Sunday is always a fun excuse to get together with friends and eat. I don’t love watching football any other Sunday (or Monday or Thursday – doesn’t it feel like it’s always on now?), but I do love all the food and commercials that come with the Super Bowl. In the past, we have always hosted some sort of Super Bowl party, so I’m usually in need of a cute Super Bowl outfit. This year, I’m hoping the Super Bowl will be our first excuse to entertain friends in our new home if I can pull it together, but I feel like a last minute party invite always gets thrown our way, so I feel like it’s a safe bet we’ll have plans and I’ll want to actually get dressed. For Super Bowl Sunday, I usually try to take things a step up from what I wear most Sundays to “watch” football (aka play with the kids while the husband watches football and pretend to care when someone on the Jets (his favorite team) or his fantasy team scores or gets hurt) — joggers or leggings and a comfy sweater. If you’re feeling like getting festive this year and hosting or heading to a party, I put together some easy Super Bowl outfit ideas.
Personally, you’ll never find me in a jersey (although if my husband’s beloved Jets ever go to the Super Bowl, maybe I’ll do it for him), but if you want to show your spirit, Super Bowl Sunday is certainly the perfect time to rock a jersey. But I prefer to go with a casual but cute weekend look. When watching football and eating pizza and wings are the main activities, you don’t want to wear anything too fancy or fussy. But if you’re going somewhere or having people over, you also want to do a little more than your typical Sunday sweats. Here are some cute Super Bowl outfit ideas that strike that perfect balance between comfy and cute.
