I’ve been a bit MIA on the blog lately as life has taken over (I’m so behind on gift guides and I’m sorry!), but I wanted to hop on to wish all of you and your families a Happy Thanksgiving! I also wanted to share a little of what I’m grateful for in 2019.
It’s crazy how much can change in a year. Last year at this time I wrote about how I was struggling with the holidays approaching. We were nearly two years into our infertility battle and I didn’t know that I could put on a brave face for family and friends when my heart and spirit were so broken. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve never doubted for a second how lucky I am to have a beautiful healthy son and husband, a career I always dreamed about, and so many other blessings. But as anyone has struggled with infertility knows, it can be incredibly heartbreaking, and the holidays, when everyone is asking if you’re going to have another, can be especially hard.
Little did I know that a month later I would get the best call of my life – the news that our latest round of fertility treatments had worked and I was finally pregnant. This year is such an important reminder of how much I have to be thankful and to never lose hope. I just wanted to pop on and share what I’m grateful for in 2019, because I am hoping if you’re feeling the way I was last year, this might in some way give you hope that the world can change so much in one year. I will never take for granted the blessings I have, including you and this community who supported me during the ups and downs of the last year. I am so thankful for this blog and community. And for anyone struggling during the holidays this year, please know you’re not alone and I am thinking of you and here for you.
Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours!
