This week has been all about rushing to finish my October goals and to prep for the crazy next couple of months. It will be Thanksgiving before we know it and then Christmas, and like everyone else, I’m freaking out about gifts etc. now that there’s these supply chain issues that are supposed to be coming to f up our holidays/lives. I am trying to actually get ahead of things this time, so I’m trying to wrap up my fall to-dos and get on the holidays early (check out all my gift guides going live daily if you are in the same boat!). This week I did not make as much of an effort as I have in the past. I honestly barely had time to throw on clothes before running to pick up or jumping on my first Zoom call of the day, but I did have a trip to the city for work and a fall cocktail party for my kids’ school that forced me to step up my game. So you’ll see a pretty big mix of lewks for my round up of what I wore the last week of October 2021.
It certainly is feeling like fall so I have officially moved away from the summer wardrobe I was stretching into fall. In fact, my goal this week is to switch up my closet and get out all the sweaters and boots. I’m also going to do another closet clean out and send a bunch to The Real, Real to sell and donate the rest. I love cleaning out my closet each season and clearing out and starting fresh with the clothes I really love and will actually wear. I did invest in a few casual fall pieces though that I showed off this week — easy pieces I can throw on for weekend excursions and soccer practices and layer during the wintertime. Now it’s off to celebrate Halloween. I’m so excited for this weekend. There’s the town Halloween parade (which we missed this year and I can’t wait to check out for the first time), a carnival fundraiser/fall festival at James’ school, a graveyard walk and dinner followed by a pre-trick or treating haunted house and brunch at our club, and of course, raiding the kids’ candy bags after watching them have the time of their lives trick or treating. Bring on the Halloween festivities! But first, here’s what I wore the last week of October 2021 aka my week in outfits.
