Continuing my new series of showcasing real style (and by real, I mean ~real~), here’s my second installment in my “What I Wore this Week” series — what I wore the first week of October 2017. Bear with me while I figure out how to turn my husband into an Instagram husband who can shoot great photos and learn how to feel somewhat comfy in front of the camera (though I’m not sure I ever will). In fact, it may surprise you to know that taking my photo makes me cringe and posting it on the internet for all to see even more cringe. I sort of hate myself for doing it tbh. But I also really want to see what real women wear for their real lives, and I don’t feel like there are a ton of people doing it right now, at least not with similar lives or styles. So here I am, a busy working mom (who does work in fashion magazines so keep that in mind), sharing what I wear for real working mom life and every day.
I hope you like this series so it’s worth my cringe and humiliation. As we figure out lighting and editing and poses, hopefully, it’ll all get better. I’m also hoping that documenting my outfits will inspire me to get dressed more and have more fun with my looks and fashion. I do get dressed for work every day, and as I said, work at a fashion magazine, so there’s pressure to look chic. But I feel like it’s still easy to slack and now the pressure is on to look cute and mix it up each week. Hopefully, I’ll inspire you and give you some outfit ideas. But let me know what you think about this series and my looks.
Here’s what I wore the first week of October 2017.
