I feel like I say this every week, but omg what an insane week this was. Trying to get everything at work and home before the baby comes is proving to be overwhelming, and I’ve entered my third trimester (!!!) and I’m just plain exhausted. Getting dressed is becoming harder, but I also am in such a rush and so tired in the mornings that frankly, I just don’t care. I’m trying to lean into easy dresses that aren’t restricting and actually fit over the growing bump and instantly look put-together enough to go run a magazine and not be embarrassed to run into anyone I know or to give a presentation or meet with a client. Unfortunately, the weather was rainy for part of the week, and I didn’t get a chance to snap all my outfits, but I did a few, as you’ll see in my roundup of what I wore the second week of June 2019.
It’s funny because I still have a ways to go in this pregnancy but I am starting to just feel so large and in charge and it makes it hard to get dressed. I don’t love buying maternity clothes when pregnant (although when I do, these are my favorite maternity brands), so it’s a lot of trial and error when getting dressed. I’m finding that roomy dresses and ones with stretch are my best bets as the bump becomes larger and the weather gets warmer. I usually don’t touch jeans when pregnant (or didn’t in my last pregnancy) but I found some maternity jeans I don’t mind and some stretchy tops that are making casual outfits totally work. I like having that option for weekends, especially in springtime when the weather can still be chilly and fickle.
Here’s what I wore this week. Here’s what I wore the second week of June 2019.
