I don’t know what’s in the water, but it feels like everyone I know is pregnant right now (guilty). Maybe I have babies on the brain, as we’ll soon be welcoming our fourth this fall (mind blown). But let’s get back to other people’s babies before I start panicking over all I have to get done before then. I have had so many invitations roll in for baby showers and sprinkles and I’m getting tons of requests for what to wear to a fall baby shower on IG. I want this to be a resource to help you dress for your life, so I thought I’d put together a blog post with lots of cute options for what to wear to a fall baby shower — with options for all different types of settings.
Fall baby showers are so fun because you can break out the cute fall dresses and skirts (or even pants sets) and it’s still warm enough that you can wear sans jacket or with cute shoes. It also usually means a beautiful setting (although it’s been raining so much recently, it can also mean a last minute recalibration and scramble to bring an outdoor event in). When deciding what to wear to a fall baby shower, I like to consider the venue first and choose something that fits the formality of the setting but is practical as well. If it’s outside, I’m going to be in flats and bring a cardi or jacket. If it’s inside at a club or restaurant, I will probably go with the heels and maybe forgo the jacket or go with a fun one that doesn’t necessarily need to be layered. While you aren’t beholden to any specific dress codes (like don’t upstage the bride or wear white to bridal events), I usually opt for something feminine and dressed up to mark the occasion and because, I don’t know, showers feel very feminine, which I like to embrace. If you have a mama to be to celebrate this fall, here are my favorite ideas for what to wear to a fall baby shower.
