Recently I went to a baby shower in the Connecticut on a frigid day. I wanted to look cute and slightly spring-y (or at least not wear all black or my current uniform of the biggest, warmest sweater I can find). As per usual I wasn’t liking anything in my closet, so i ordered a dress that is actually the perfect winter to spring dress. Obviously I had to share it because those of us on the Northeast will be experiencing winter-like temps for awhile even if the calendar is saying we’re heading into spring.
I love how this winter to spring dress can be worn now when it’s still cold and honestly, still winter outside. But it will be so cute as the weather warms up and won’t feel too heavy or wintry for springtime. I will even wear it in summer with sandals tbh. I also love that it can easily be dressed up or down. Make it a daytime dress with flats or boots, or turn it into a nighttime dress with heels.
With tights and boots, which is what I paired it with for the baby shower – plus, a fur vest because it was freeezing), it works right now in what is still somehow winter. But I can’t wait to wear it with bare legs and flats or booties this spring and with sandals over a swimsuit at the beach this summer. The material is light enough weight that I can definitely wear it into summer, but the print is versatile enough that it doesn’t feel too soon to wear it while it’s still winter. It’s really the perfect winter to spring dress, and honestly, I can see myself wearing it year-round.
