I’m heading to the Bahamas in less than a week for a girls’ trip and I could not be more excited. It’s my first time going on a girls trip since having kids and really since probably college, which is sad. I’m actually petrified of leaving the kids and stressed about how it will all work, but I’m so excited to get away with some girlfriends and get a break. I really need the time off and a little time without kids. I have never left the kids actually since having them. We left James for one night for a wedding once, but that’s it. We were supposed to take an anniversary trip when Charlotte was about six months old but then Covid hit, and then we haven’t traveled without them since or spent a night apart. Needless to say, this will be a big test for me but also much needed. I’m going with mom friends so I think it’s going to be all the better. And a solo trip means I don’t have to worry about packing kid-friendly outfits, so mama is excited to rock some cute lewks too. I am Trying to plan out what I’m going to bring, so I thought I’d throw together a Bahamas packing list and share it for anyone else heading there or to the Caribbean anytime soon.
It’s usually hot and sunny in the Bahamas so I’ll be packing lots of bathing suits and coverups for daytime and sundresses for the night. I’m including some light cardigans for air conditioned hotels and restaurants but other than that, I don’t plan to wear much for layers. I included a few shoe options as well though I hope to be barefoot by the pool or beach for most do the trip. Here’s my Bahamas packing list.
