I know some people aren’t huge fans of resolutions and goals, especially right now, when survival seems like an accomplishment on its own. But I, for one, love the start of a new year, whether it’s a new school year, New Year’s, or a birthday. I love setting goals and intentions and the idea of a fresh start to accomplish big things and dream even bigger. I’m also a big believer in the power of setting your intentions and putting them out into the world. I’ve already shared my New Year’s resolutions, and I’m still working on reaching them and updating you on my progress each month. But I thought I would take advantage of another birthday to reflect on the past year and look ahead to what I want to accomplish in this next year of my life, so I’m also going to share my birthday intentions 2022.
In honor of my birthday, I want to set my intentions for the year ahead and put out into the world not to so much goals to accomplish but my dreams. I want to believe that I am deserving of my wildest dreams and share what I want to happen in the next year with the universe. I usually end up making goals when I attempt to do this, but I’m realizing that’s my own thinking holding me back. Deep down I don’t think I deserve or am capable of achieving these things, so I set goals of things I need to accomplish, and often they’re smaller, more attainable. I still think that’s important, but I want to believe that I am worthy of my dreams and really internalize why not me and why can’t these things happen. I think I am too caught up in the weeds and the hows and the doubts. I want to kick off this year as one of possibilities and dreams actually happening and the belief that rather than conspiring against me, the universe is conspiring to make these things happen. To that end, I am going to set out my dreams for the year ahead. So here are my birthday intentions 2022.
