It’s crazy how fast time is flying by. 2024 seemed so far away and now it’ll be here in a blink. I want time to slow down for a number of reasons (mostly pertaining to my kids growing up way too fast and there not being enough hours in the day), but also because I’m a check list person and I feel like I haven’t gotten close enough to accomplishing all my 2023 New Year’s resolutions. With that said, I am really proud of how much I have accomplished in the last year, especially in the last few months. It’s been a lot of hustling and working hard. Not that I’m not always doing that but a few months ago, I committed to really taking action on my life to-do list and dreams and not just plotting out what I’d like to do or sitting around jealous of all the people doing it and showing it off on the ‘gram. It helped to break things down into goals and focus super hard on them each month and that’s why I share these goals here. With that said, I feel like I Just shared my October 2023 goals and now it’s time to write down my November 2023 monthly goals.
But here we are, another month and time to set my intentions for the month ahead. December will be a crazy month with the holidays and we will be spending a few weeks in Park City so I really want to make November as productive as possible so I can enjoy the magic of the holidays with my family in December and focus a bit less on work. You’ll see I am going to be doing lots of planning ahead to make that possible as part of my November 2023 monthly goals. I also want to continuing focusing on growth and working toward my professional goals as I also prioritize some personal goals for me and my family.
Here are my November 2023 monthly goals.
Schedule Out All Blog Content for Month of December and First Half of January: As I mentioned, I really want to be able to focus on family in December. There will be work things of course, but I want to be able to have the stuff I can work on ahead of time done so that I can soak in as much family time as possible without late nights and being distracted and on my phone at all times. Blog content is something that I can schedule out in advance but. this will require a lot of work in November.
Grow Daily Website Traffic by 25%: This is a big goal of mine and will require updating 5-10 pieces of old performing content a week and focusing on writing SEO content that will fit my pillars and perform. I’ll also need to spend a little time working on some of the site construction to help my SEO ranking.
Hit 24K on Instagram: My goal by the end of the year is to hit 30K on Instagram, which means I need to focus on growth this month. I know it seems a little obsessive but growth means that your work is being seen to more people and helps open up more opportunities that would allow me to continue to invest resources there.
Post 2x’s/Day to TikTok: I’ve haven’t been great about this but I really want to focus more on TikTok growth and I need to post more on there, I think I was too lofty last month, so I am going to make my TikTok November 2023 Monthly goals more reasonable and aim to bump up to posting 2x/day and trying to always do one trending post whether it’s jumping on a trend or a song/sound.
Get Chairs Reupholstered for Living Room: I am focusing on our living room as our next project. I have a pretty fabric picked out that my dear friend helped me with and now I just want to get the chairs to the upholster so we can maybe entertain in 2024.
Take Down Living Room Curtains: This is going to require some work on the walls and paint but the rods and curtains are not cute and I think just taking them down until we get them ordered and made will help.
Order Living Room Rug: We’re going to need a custom rug so I want to get going on that because it will transform the room.
Book Park City Reservations: We have all our ski passes and lessons booked but now it’s time to make sure to fill it all in with any remaining dinner and activity bookings. I’m honestly even a little late on this but it’s been crazy and we do have some things scheduled.
Finish Holiday Shopping: I got so much holiday shopping done during the Amazon Prime Day and other sales this year, so I’m in a good place but I just want to finish it out so December isn’t a crazy rush.
Eat Healthier: I’ve been slacking so badly in the food department, mostly just eating kids scraps and I need to eat more veggies and take better care of myself so I’m including this in my November 2023 monthly goals.
Grow Newsletter List: My newsletter has been at a bit of standstill so I need to do a better job promoting it and getting people to sign up so the content I produce isn’t for nothing. Newsletters take awhile to put together!
Figure out Childcare Plan for Next Year: We’ve been cobbling together childcare and will probably continue to do so until after the holidays, but I want to come up with a better plan for the remainder of the school year and then for the following year because Brooks will be two (tear).
Book Skiing Lessons/Weekends for Winter: I’m behind on planning our spring and winter breaks, so I’m hoping to get that in order this month as well to do a few ski lessons as well as weekend getaways around here.
See Doctor for Hormone Check: My period has been irregular since it returned after having Brooks and I haven’t been feeling lots of energy. I think taking better care of myself will help but I also want to get my hormone levels checked to make sure all good.
Visit Cosmetic Dentist: I chipped my front tooth awhile ago and I got it fixed because it’s very slight but it’s a bit uneven and it’s been bugging me so I want to see a dentist about getting it evened out and maybe a teeth whitening while I’m there.
Focus on the Kids Sans Phone: I think I would be a better mom and more patient if I put my phone away while with the kids. It’s hard because of the nature of my job but it’s a big goal for me for this month.
Be Fun Mom: I saw a friend post about this the other day and it really resonated. I rarely get to be fun mom and I want my kids to remember how much they loved their childhood and I think having parents who are enjoying the ride is a huge part of it, so I’m making this one of my November 2023 monthly goals. I’m going to try to have more dance parties, ride the rides with them, host more playdates and parties, bake with them, make things like cleaning and laundry a game and just laugh and play more.
