I was never one to invest in pajamas or loungewear. I figure no one sees it save me and my husband (and now my kids), and I would just rather spend money on cute work clothes, dresses, shoes, bags, etc. — things I wear when out and about. But Covid really changed all that. I am actually embarrassed to admit what I used to wear to bed or to hang out around the house. Before the pandemic and wearing your pajamas or loungewear all day became a thing, I’d be mortified if you unexpectedly popped by my house early on a Sunday morning or after work one evening. Think: a mix of my husband’s oversized tees, college sweats, and hole-y yoga pants I had since high school. Yep, hot, right? It’s a wonder my husband is still around and we have kids. But not all heroes wear capes. When Covid hit and there was no point in getting dressed to not leave the house, I decided to upgrade my pajama and loungewear wardrobe and Instagram convinced me to invest in a pair of Lake Pajamas. I wasn’t sure they’d live up to the hype and couldn’t bring myself to pay over $100 for pajamas so the sale hunter in me made obviously ask, does Lake Pajamas have sales? Well, I’m happy to report they do, and they’re having one at the end of July and it’s going to be good!
Now, I am also going to say that I love Lake’s pajamas so much, I would happily pay full price. They’re that good and worth investing in, and really do live up to the hype. Oh, and they also have the cutest beach dresses/lounge dresses/cover-ups. I always invest in a couple every summer and wear them to death. They are so cute that you can wear them straight from the beach or pool to lunch to run errands and even to dinner with a change of shoes. They’re machine washable and just as soft as their pajamas and dry quickly. They’re also compliment magnets. This one is my favorite that they’ve ever done — I love the scalloped detailing and it comes in a few colors and a 3/4 length too.
Lake Pajamas are so incredibly soft, machine washable (but hang to dry or size up and then you can stick them in the dryer – they tend to shrink) and they’re cute (so if you get caught walking the dog, Instagramming with the kiddos, or even hitting up the pool in them, you won’t be embarrassed and you’ll likely get a compliment and a “where did you get that cute set/dress?”.) But as you know, I love to wait for things to go on sale (side note: everything goes on sale), so I like to wait and stock up during their big sales. They have really good sales on styles and prints you actually want (not like other brands that only put the more unique color ways or styles that aren’t selling on sale).
