I know I’m late getting this post up, but it’s been so rainy and cold that I haven’t felt much like getting dressed this spring so far. But now that the weather is finally getting nicer and I can’t hide under my winter parka and snow boots, it feels like it’s time to start thinking about getting dressed again. I don’t know if it’s the same for you, but now that the weather is getting warmer, it feels like everyone is all about being out and about again and dressed for it. I am starting to feel the pressure to dress a little nicer when I leave the house, even if it’s just to pick up the kids from school. But these days I’ve been busier than ever, and have even less time to get dressed. That’s why, I decided to put together a spring capsule wardrobe.
I figured I wasn’t the only one struggling to get dressed and out the door lately, and I can’t be the only one who is finally (almost) ready to ditch the leggings and oversized sweater winter mom uniform. I love putting together capsule wardrobes because it’s basically like picking out a bunch of outfits in advance that I can rotate through depending on the occasion. It also helps me to be smarter about what I buy. There are so many cute clothes and accessories coming out for spring — it’s tempting to buy it all. I have to keep reminding myself I’m still working from home. A spring capsule wardrobe will help me stick to just a few key items that I’ll love wearing over and over again and can fit with other items in my closet to make it feel fresh — without investing in a new closet full of clothes.
From drop off/pick up to date night and park playdates, I’ve put together my favorite go-to looks for every spring activity. If you need help deciding what to buy and/or wear this season, here is an easy spring capsule wardrobe that’s perfect for every occasion and event you have going on this spring.
