There’s nothing better than a maxi dress come summer. It’s the ultimate sundress — breezy, long, comfy, and pretty. No fuss, and you look chic, whether you’re heading to a bbq, the beach, or a casual wedding. And I really feel like I found the perfrect summer dress 2018 in this particular maxi. Now, typically, I would say orange is not usually my color, except, oddly enough, I own a surprising number of orange pieces in my closet. So maybe I like it more than I think. I would say I don’t like orange very much at all, but then I find myself gravitating towards it, so maybe I do. And I think it’s actually pretty flattering. For instance, this color looks good with my pasty pale skin but would look great with a tan and darker skin tones as well. So take this dress, for example. I’m pretty pasty even in summer, but it’s a nice compliment to slightly more sun-kissed skin and feels festive and fun but not quite as sultry/try-hard as red. I also love the length of this dress. It’s just long enough that it covers my legs if it cool at night or the bugs come out and I don’t have to worry about it riding up all night or a breeze exposing too much, but it’s not so long that I have to worry about it dragging in the sand or grass. It’s not really a midi so I’m calling it a maxi but it’s not that long, which I prefer because I find long maxis cumbersome, especially when running after a toddler. Plus, it lets me show off fun sandals. I usually go with flats, but for a dressier occasion, some fun wedges would be perfect with this dress. I felt like this is now my go-to summer dress 2018 and so I wanted to share before it sells out. It’s such a flattering silhouette — can work with a range of body types and the color and design is so festive and fun for summer. It’s lightweight but not too thin so as to lose its shape and well, I just love this dress. It truly is the perfect summer dress. If you are a fan as well, I’ve included links to it and the rest of my outfit down below.
