What I Wore This Week (No. 121) – Closetful of Clothes

After a crazy week of moving followed by a birthday weekend celebrating Andrew, we finally settled back into a bit of a routine this week. Well, as much of a routine as one can have while living out of suitcases. I haven’t shared too many details here about our move and plans here — I’ll give you the full rundown once we get settled and know I haven’t jinxed myself. But to catch you up because I know so many of you have been asking after seeing my stories, we sold our home and moved last week. We are currently staying at my in-laws for a few weeks before we head to the Vineyard, and then we’ll hopefully, be moving into our new home. So we’re living out of suitcases for the time being, which makes getting dressed a bit tricky (especially since I can’t remember where I packed anything in the whirlwind of moving). The bright side is this temporary chaos we’re in has forced me to take a more capsule approach to my wardrobe and wear what I can find. With that said, I am also finding myself just ordering things I need as I go because I lack the mental and physical energy to figure out where I put anything. So you’ll see a mix of looks coming in hot for my roundup of what I wore the first week of August 2022.

Might I also add that it is hot as hell rn, at least where we live. We are experiencing yet another heat wave, and we nearly hit 100 one day this week. So I’m trying to look put-together now that I’m back at work (did I mention I’m back at work full time, too? Not chaotic at all. Nope not one bit.), while also trying not to sweat to death. It’s not easy. Honestly, I love that we’re having so many great pool and beach days, but this heat is a lot. Although I’m certainly not counting down until fall, I am starting to think about jeans again, both fitting into them and wearing them when it’s cooler again. I think I’m being inspired by some of my favorite Instagram faves who have been living in jeans this summer. I am also really into testing out the non-skinny jean styles, and really loving the wider leg styles right now. Curious what you guys think.
