We’re starting to get into a routine, and I’m loving it. After so much chaos and upheaval, it feels good to finally be settling into our new home and life. I am still trying to get a handle on three kids and being back at work and having life pick up in this post-Covid era. It’s overwhelming, and I feel like we all were just like okay life is back to normal and no one really talked about how the transition back into a million things at once is hard. I also had another child right as life picked back up and haven’t had to be back into the office and commuting with a baby since James really (Covid hit right as I returned to work after having Charlotte so I only commuted into the office for about two weeks after having her). So of course I’m overwhelmed and then of course we’ve added in a move and new town and James starting kindergarten, which is a big transition in terms of all the things you have to do for the kids, and well, it’s just a lot. With the move and all these changes, we really weren’t on a solid schedule and I just felt like everything was just a free-for-all and I was barely getting by and always wondering what ball I dropped. Tbh, I still feel that way most days and that’s probably the reality of being a parent, but I’m feeling more settled and a little more on top of things, which for this Type A person with extreme anxiety, it’s very helpful. My anxiety gets really out of control when I feel like my life is completely out of control, which has been my reality for the past six months, so I feel like I can finally breathe again and get out of flight or fight mode, and that’s a good thing. I went super cozy this week as you’ll see in my roundup of what I wore the second week of November 2022. It’s getting chilly here, and I was feeling a little under the weather and we have yet to figure out how to work the heating in our house, so I feel like I constantly have a chill, so cozy sweaters is my jam rn.
We have a low key weekend with not much planned outside all the kids’ activities and birthday parties and playdates, and I’m perfectly fine with that. I do want to get back into the date night swing of things, but I’m savoring the early bedtimes at the moment and just enjoying not having a jam packed schedule, which I know will change with the holidays approaching. Hope you have a great weekend. Here’s what I wore the second week of November 2022.
