What I Wore This Week (No. 137)

Somehow or other we’re now in the middle of December and Christmas is right around the corner. I feel like this time of year goes by so fast, and is filled with so much that it’s both exhausting and wonderful. I know how doldrum-y January and February tend to be, so I really want to milk up all the festivities. It’ll be a long time before we have another holiday to celebrate, so why not go for it, ya know? And go for it, we are. We are so inundated with holiday parties, I feel like I have a whole new section of my wardrobe dedicated to holiday party outfits. My roundup of what I wore the third week of December 2022 is basically just five days of holiday party outfits. But between work parties, friends parties, and a family wedding that snuck in, it’s kind of all we’ve been doing between the kids’ holiday shows and of course trying to wrap up all the many work obligations for the year.

It’s a lot, but I’m not not going to go out with a bang this year. I will take any excuse to throw on a pretty dress and some heels and eat, drink and be merry — even if I haven’t slept in about a year. It’s fine. I’m fine, you’re fine, we’re all fine. Just a few parties this weekend, a gingerbread house making contest, some Christmas cookies to bake, a family vacation to pack for, and about a million kids activities. No bigs. We’ve got this fam.
