I cannot believe that somehow summer is over and we’re already back to school and entering fall. Well, I can believe it, because the last two weeks have been a whirlwind of wrapping up our final family vacations and getting the kids prepped and ready to start school and starting school. It’s been overwhelming to say the least. We closed out Labor Day with one last summer vacation that I can’t wait to share, but first, I’m rounding up what I wore the first week of September 2023.
This week was a hard adjustment. James started school before Labor Day but then we went away and had to unpack, do the laundry and get everything together for both James and Charlotte to start school on Tuesday. Getting everyone, including myself, back into a routine that we haven’t been in since the beginning of June was tough. Figuring out all the schedules and lunches and who is getting who where and fitting in work and all the other things has been a lot. I also have James’ birthday coming in hot down the pipeline and all the kids’ activities starting at the same time. But I know a lot of you can relate and we did it. We made it through summer and those last camp-free weeks when everyone was bored and restless and in need of structure. We survived road trips and plane rides and staycations, messy houses, sand and chlorine everywhere, and snacks that replaced meals. And trying to get everyone back and ready to be dressed and ged before 8am and on schedules. And I don’t know about you, but somehow in it, I managed to get dressed because I had to look presentable for all the school and work events and you know, test out the fall wardrobe. lol.
Now, we’re going to start our first real weekend of fall at home, and we only have a couple activities and birthday parties and then a million home projects to tackle lol. Here’s what I wore the first week of September 2023.
