What I Wore This Week (No. 173) – Closetful of Clothes

Hello and happy weekend. It’s been a whirlwind of a month so far here, but I suppose that’s how I feel about every week lately. The kids didn’t have school Monday so I started the week feeling behind on all the things. It was a nice opportunity for us to go up to the lake and enjoy some fall time up there, but it feels like we’ve only had a couple full weeks of school/work and it’s making it hard to catch up on all the things and get ahead on work/home/life. Maybe I’ve hit the point in motherhood where I’m always behind and trying to catch up while not dropping one of the many balls in the air? I know so many of you feel the same, so solidarity here. It’s like just when you think you’re on top of everything, someone gets sick or there’s no school or a new opportunity you can’t pass up drops and you scramble to make it work. I had a packed week of work, school activities, running everyone around to activities, as you’ll see from my mix in what I wore the second week of October 2023.

I’m excited it’s the weekend though. We have a fun dinner tonight and then a drive-in movie night at James’ school on Saturday, which was so cute last year and such a fun tradition. The kids are counting down. There’s also soccer and hockey and swim and an event at Charlotte’s preschool, so lots going on, but I like busy weekends, especially when they’re filled with fun things to mix it all up. About to wrap up a day of work and juggling the kid’s activities and then dinner out for mom and dad.
