Happy weekend fam. I am so excited it’s here. Last weekend was jam packed with activities and this weekend, we’re keeping it pretty low key. Andrew’s been traveling and solo parenting has exhausted me, so I’m going to take it easy and let the kids stay in their jammies as long as they want and watch movies and make messes. Okay, maybe not make messes because I’m a neat freak, but definitely I’ll be cool mom about the other two. This week was event central for me. I had a lot of fun events and parties to stop by for work and a few for fun, so I got to break out some fun festive dresses for the occasions that will take me into the holidays, as you’ll see from my roundup of what I wore the second week of November 2023.
There are some definite Thanksgiving contenders in this week’s outfit roundup, so let me know what oyu think. I am still trying to find an elusive balance between work and events and opportunities as I lay the foundation of my next act and our new community with wanting to be more present for my kids and less tied to my phone and other people’s expectations. It’s a struggle I’m not sure I will solve, but desperately want to. This week was certainly heavy on the networking and events and felt like I wasn’t the mom I wanted to be (the guilt and push-pull, right?), so I’m going to try to lean into family this weekend and let all the work stuff piling up sit. I could go on forever about the push-pull of career and motherhood and reaching your potential, but I’m sure you’re as exhausted as I am and I’ve already lost my train of thought, so here’s what I wore the second week of November 2023.
