Well, here we are into June already and I’m loving summer so far. I mean not a huge shock I suppose since all I do is talk about how much I love summer, but happy to report it is not disappointing so far. We had a great kickoff Memorial Day weekend and just really dove into summer from there. James is finishing up school, Charlotte is loving her school camp (yep, that’s a thing), and Brooks can’t get enough of playing outside. I can’t wait for lazy pool and beach day soon too, but we’re sneaking them in between school and bed when we don’t have sports and activities. Frankly, we’re already in a summer state of mind and I feel bad that James still has to go to school (and oh yeah, that I have to work). This week was a whirlwind of events and end-of-year things at James’ school, so I was running around and getting dressed in the mornings and not stopping until the evenings. I really leaned into pretty summer dresses, as you’ll see from my roundup of what I wore the first week of June 2024.
I find putting on a pretty dress that can work for a variety of events is the best solution for days like this when I have so much going on, from events to kids’ pickup/drop off and activities to work meetings. They’re easy because you just switch up your shoes and bags and you’re good to go. This weekend we’re riding the birthday party circuit hard, wrapping up spring sports, and getting our first dips at the pool. I can’t wait. Maybe I can even squeeze in some tennis if I’m lucky. Oh, and it’s Charlotte’s dance performance, so we’re thrilled about that. Here’s what I wore the first week of June 2024.
