Well, here we are less than a week until Thanksgiving. I’m not freaking out, I swear. (But here are Thanksgiving outfit ideas, Thanksgiving dresses, and Thanksgiving tablescape inspo if you are in need of some last minute Turkey Day help.) Honestly, I haven’t had that much time to think about the impending holiday because I returned to the office officially this week, and managing a commute and everything else has been overwhelming. I’m still trying to get the swing of things, and it’s … a lot. It did give me an excuse to get dressed (and purchase some new workwear items), as you’ll see in my roundup of what I wore the third week of November 2021, so there’s that. But honestly, I’m ready for a vacation after just one week back at it. How did we ever do this? Right now, I’m on a hybrid schedule, so I’m not commuting to the city every day, but I still feel like I need to go away for a month after just one week of it. The morning juggle and rush to get home before our nanny has to leave is real, and then there’s all the holiday things I’m behind on — gifts, making sure everyone has all their ski gear, making sure I have something to wear to all those holiday parties, getting our own celebrations together, and addressing those Christmas cards (yes, I know they automate that now, but the spreadsheet thing wasn’t working and I just got annoyed and ordered without, and I know that was a bad call but in the moment, I couldn’t deal and needed to check something off my to-do list).
As I mentioned, this week included commuting, so I had to be dressed and ready for school drop off, no easy feat. I opted mostly for easy dresses I could throw on with a cute coat and look put-together. But I was pretty relieved to work from home Friday and go with a more casual lewk. It’s just a lot to get “work” ready and out the door in the mornings. Now, we’re prepping for a week of soccer, hockey, birthday parties, and maybe if we can swing it, a nice little date night. Or maybe just takeout and a movie on the couch, because mama is tired. Here’s what I wore the third week of November 2021.
