I don’t know about you, but the holiday invitations are already rolling in. It’s so fun to have the calendar filled with a million reasons to celebrate. And I don’t know what it is but it feels like all my different friend and mom groups want to get together for holiday celebrations too. I think we all know that once winter break begins, there will be 2-3 weeks before we see each other and then it’s the January/February winter doldrums and no one wants to go out. So basically you know that after December 23rd, you probably won’t see each other until March save for some car waves at the pickup line or run-ins while dropping at hockey/ballet/etc. practice. So yeah, I’m waving in all the holiday invites before I go into hibernation mode. Fun fact about me: I basically hibernate from January through March and you can’t get me to go out. I’m excited to have so many daytime holiday events rolling in with new and old friends, but it’s also a tad overwhelming. There’s the coordinating with schedules (work, kids, etc.) to make it all happen and then deciding what to wear. Someone asked on IG for some ideas for what to wear to a holiday luncheon and I thought we could all benefit from this content so I put it into a blog post.
Holiday luncheons are a bit more casual than a nighttime holiday party, so you can skip the sky high heels and cocktail dresses. But I still like to go fancier than I would for a typical luncheon. It’s the holidays. You want to feel festive and it’s also a great excuse to wear sequins during the daytime or a fun dress or shoes. So if you’re looking for daytime holiday outfit ideas, here are my favorite ideas for what to wear to a holiday luncheon.
