Every season I invest in a couple really good beach dresses and swim cover-ups. I know I’ll wear them on repeat and in years to come, since I basically try to live at the beach or pool in summer. This year is a bit harder to find ones that fit, but I really wanted to look for beach cover-ups that I can wear again next year. I’ve been scouring the internet for the best maternity swim cover-ups, and found some really cute ones, including this dress that fits a bump but technically isn’t maternity.
When it comes to summery dresses and beach wear, Tory Burch has always been one of my faves. Her breezy dresses can take you from the beach to cocktails and I’ve even been known to wear them to work. This beach dress/ cover-up works with or without a bump (I’m wearing my usual size) so I’m happy to invest in it, because I know I’ll wear it for years (and I snagged it on sale). It’s also an easy, timeless styles that can be dressed up or down, and it’s roomy enough that I can wear it until I pop and it can hide my wobbly bits until I lose the baby weight. I love that it’s not constricting but look so chic – exactly what a good summer beach dress should be. Basically, it’s the best maternity swim cover-up I’ve found that you can actually wear for years to come, pregnant or not.
Personally, when it comes to maternity swim cover-ups, I prefer dress styles to just tunics. That way you can throw them on for lunch and even wear them if you go for drinks, ice cream, or dinner right after the beach. And when I’m pregs, I really want my maternity swim cover-ups to be dresses because I want that extra coverage. So I’ve rounded up my favorite maternity swim cover-ups and beach dresses — almost all of which you can wear with or without a bump.
My Favorite Maternity Cover-Ups:

Love this blue floral print and the sleeves!
This dress is so pretty, I’d wear it over a swimsuit and on its own.
I actually prefer caftans like this one to tunics because I find them more versatile.
This classic striped cover-up is what I love most about summer.
This tunic is a little longer, which makes it perfect for accommodating a bump.
Hands down one of my favorite dresses I’ve ever bought.
I will be living in this adorable cover-up when I’m nine months pregs at the pool.
I like how this cute little beach dress is flirty yet roomy.
