Today I’m addressing a problem that I’ve struggled with probably my whole life and that I recently discovered many of you do as well after posting about it on Instagram — finding the best swimsuits for long torsos. I have always had a longer torso, which means shirts are often cropped on me and high waisted jeans have been the greatest blessing. It also means that finding a swimsuit is a real you know what. One solution if you have a long torso is to just wear a two-piece but three and a half kids later, I’m really embracing the one-piece life more and more, so finding the best swimsuits for long torsos has become my life’s mission. I even find two-pieces can be tricky with a long torso tbh. You have a lot of ground to cover, ya know?
i’m happy to report that some brands like Summersalt are now making suits in long torso options, which makes life infinitely easier though you still need to try on the different styles as I’ve discovered not all work on this long torso. But there are also some brands that offer styles that work for us long torso-d gals. I will say that with two-pieces, I often opt for high-waist styles to help balance my XL torso. And from a lot of trial and error, I’ve found brands that create styles that work well with a longer torso though I do size up one to two sizes in many like my Minnow and J.Crew one-pieces. I wish I could say just shop this brand for the best swimsuits for long torsos but it’s not that easy, so I’ve rounded up my favorite long torso swimsuits.
