Recently I’ve gotten some comments on my jewelry. Well, really the fact that I’ve started wearing jewelry again. For the past few years I really haven’t worn much jewelry. This isn’t because I don’t love accessories. It’s mostly that since becoming a mom, I haven’t had much time to get ready in the mornings and the last step, putting on jewelry, usually gets skipped in the rush to get out the door and to work or drop off or wherever we’re going. The second reason is that I have young children and babies, toddlers, curious preschoolers love pulling on jewelry, especially any that hang or sparkle, which not only risks breaking a special piece but can also really hurt. I just slowly started learning better and opting out. Now three kids in, I barely even wear my engagement ring and keep my jewelry pretty pared down to nonexistent save for my Apple watch, which is the only way I’m on time anywhere and know I can get any emergency alerts without having my phone out all the time. But recently I started sprinkling in some accessories as some of eagle-eyed friends have noticed and it kind of comes down to getting the Dorsey tennis necklace I’ve been lusting after for awhile. Ever since I started wearing it, I have been flooded with questions and it sounds like a lot of you are considering getting one as well, so I thought I’d answer it all in one Dorsey tennis necklace review post.
I think I touched on everything I’ve been asked since she arrived, but please let me know if you have any other questions. I find Dorsey’s jewelry to be so well priced for the quality and pieces, but it’s still an investment, so I get wanting to do your homework before you invest. Honestly, before buying any jewelry, it’s always good to do some research. Dorsey’s diamonds and gems are lab grown, so it may also be a new concept to some of you, so I’ll touch on that here in my Dorsey Tennis Necklace review as well. Let me know if I missed anything. Happy to answer any more and you can see more pics of it in my stories.

Which Dorsey Tennis Necklace did you get?
I got the Moss Riviere Necklace in sterling silver. I felt like it was the most versatile with my wardrobe and other jewelry and I like mixing and matching metals so it felt like it added a cool-glam update to my gold necklaces. I also like that on its own it feels glam but fresh in the silver.
Which length Dorsey tennis length did you get?
I chose the 16.5″ necklace. If you want it to sit super close to your neck, go with the 15″ length, but I like it to hit a little longer. It felt a little more versatile and works better with my other necklaces when I stack.
What are lab grown diamonds? Do they look different?
Lab grown diamonds are engineered in a laboratory in conditions that mimic those in which natural diamonds are created beneath the Earth’s crust. They have the exact same physical and chemical properties as mined diamonds.
The quality is so similar to natural diamonds, you really can’t tell the difference. They have the same brilliance and sparkle and I’ve been so impressed with the quality. They really do sparkle and shine, which makes the necklace such a beautiful add to wear everyday or for special occasions. I showed my jeweler, who has helped with custom fine jewelry, and she was so impressed with the quality and brilliance. The pieces are less expensive because they don’t have the additional costs associated with mining natural diamonds.
Can you shower in Dorsey tennis necklace?
You should be fine to shower and sleep in your Dorsey necklaces. The pieces are made to last and they do. I never shower or swim with jewelry on, but they are made like fine jewelry to be worn anywhere. You can read more about what the founder said here.
How do you clasp the Dorsey necklace?
There is a clasp that you push together and then two side pieces you close so it really stays on well. It takes a few tries to figure out and then you’re good to go.
How much does the Dorsey necklace cost?
My Riviere necklace costs $595 in the sterling silver and $330 in the coated brass for the 16.5″. The prices vary by size so they range from $575 for the 15″ to $650 for the 20″ in the sterling silver. The gold ranges $520-620.
Do the stones flip around?
This was probably the second most common questions (after length), so I wanted to address it in my Dorsey tennis necklace review. I have not had an issue with the stones flipping around. The key is to make sure you put it on correctly. You have to put it on so the stones are facing up, which it took me a few tries to figure out, but now after doing it a bunch of times, it’s easy.
What do you wear your necklace with?
The thing I love the most about my Dorsey tennis necklace is that I wear it with everything — gym clothes, jeans and t-shirts, sweaters, work dresses and blazers and cocktail and formal dresses. It is so versatile. I love pairing it with more casual everyday clothes for the contrast of a little bling with a tee. It’s very cool and inspired by one of my favorite follows Courtney Grow. But I also love how it looks when it’s dressed up with a dress and if you need that special touch to a formal dress, it’s gorgeous. I treat it like my wedding band and watch and wear it everyday.
What other Dorsey pieces do you want?
I have so many Dorsey pieces on my wish list. If I were starting my collection, I highly recommend my necklace. Next on my list: these earrings and these earrings, this ring stack, this necklace to stack with my Riviere, and I love this cocktail ring that reminds me of my engagement ring.
And that’s it for my Dorsey necklace review. Let me know if you have any other questions or want me to review anythign else!

Hello! I’ve been wanting a Dorsey necklace for months. I’ve read everything I could find about the product, company, customer service. I did just read a few negative reviews about customer service, so was wondering what you thought. Also, why did you choose sterling over the rhodium plated as there is a significant difference in price? I appreciate any more info you can give me!

so far my customer service experience has been really great. I can’t complain. I chose the less expensive option as it was my first thing from them and I wanted to see what I thought before investing more. I really like it and have zero complaints. I think it looks really beautiful but works for every day and has been durable. But I have not seen the rhodium plated so I can’t compare.
