It’s summer 2021 and we actually have places to go and things to do again, as Covid seems to be (hopefully) in retreat. The world is starting to open up, and I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling it. The kids have camp, work is picking up, people are throwing parties and traveling, we can attend James’ preschool graduation in person, we can enjoy a game of tennis or swim without masks. I don’t remember being this busy pre-Covid to be honest. (I’m not sure if it’s a good thing, but right now it feels good, so I’m going with it.) If your summer calendar is starting to fill up as fast as mine, you might be stressing about what to wear. And I don’t blame you. It’s been over a year since we had a reason to get out of our stretchy pants and actually go somewhere where we could be identified sans sunglasses and mask. So even though they are soo much work, I wanted to pull together a summer capsule wardrobe post asap. I know I can’t be the only one who is secretly sort of excited to get dressed again, but also way more stressed about what to wear than ever before.
I think my summer capsule wardrobe includes outfit ideas for every occasion and event you might have this summer, but message me if I’m missing any and I can update this post or do a whole post dedicated to whatever you need. I originally conceived this blog as a resource for helping women get dressed without the stress, and I feel like re-entering the world and trying to act like a social being again is stressful enough without having to worry about what you’ll wear. If you’re looking for summer outfit ideas or what to wear to your next party or beach day, here’s my summer capsule wardrobe for 2021.
