Somehow James is turning 8 in a couple weeks and he’s quickly becoming a real big boy. You know what I mean? He calls me bruh and says stuff like “sigma” that I don’t even know what it means and refuses to wear anything but sports clothes. He’s playing travel hockey and flag football and spends all his time with his neighborhood friends. He even gets on the bus by himself. But he’s also still a boy. He cuddles and loves toys and presents and pretend play and says and does the cutest things and occasionally has his temper tantrums and tears. I feel my little boy growing up though and that this might be one of my last birthdays where i can get him fun stuff that’ll really excite him (and not just new sports equipment and video games). So I’ve been looking for birthday gifts for 8 year old boys. (And here are my gift ideas for 7 year old boys and 6 year old boys.)
I have to say, I’m actually having a lot of fun finding birthday gifts for 8 year old boys. They’re at that fun age where they can do and make stuff but they’re not too cool for toys either. I know he’ll get super excited about so many things so it’s hard for me not to want to get him it all. He also has lots of friends turning eight, so I’m rounding up my favorite gifts for 8 year old boys, from smaller gifts to give friends to bigger ticket items the special eight year old in your life will love.
