We are getting ready to celebrate our first Christmas with Baby Brooks. It’s crazy to think that this will be his first holiday and our first as a family of five. It sort of feels like he’s always been a part of our family, but last year, he was in my belly and we just had gotten to a point where I started telling everyone… mostly because I was getting bigger and couldn’t hide the belly any longer. We celebrated Christmas when both James and Charlotte were babies, but I don’t really remember what we got them. It wasn’t much. James was only three months old for his first Christmas, and we didn’t have any other kids who believed in Santa, so we only got him a few little things and some clothes I think. For Charlotte, we mostly just got her clothes from “Santa” but James was still so young, he didn’t fully understand Christmas and it didn’t feel like we needed much. This year, both the bigs get what Christmas is, and they know Santa brings presents. I also don’t want to set the precedent that the third child just gets chump change, but I am also going to be smart about what we get Brooks because we do not need any more toy clutter. But we also have some other new babies to buy holiday presents for so I thought I’d round up my favorite baby Christmas gifts.
Honestly, I mostly stick to clothes and accessories when it comes to baby Christmas gifts — things like cute sleep slacks, monogrammed sweaters and hats, adorable gloves, a cute dress or onesie. Because babies really don’t need much and one or two baby toys and you’re good. But I know the kids will question Santa if he doesn’t show up with some toys and fun stocking stuffers for Baby Brooks, so I’ve also included some of our favorite baby toys, some we have and love and some I’ve discovered new and can’t wait to give Brooks. So if you’re starting your holiday shopping and looking for baby Christmas gifts, here are my top picks.
