It feels like we just got from winter break a day ago (because basically we did), but spring break is already upon us. While all these school breaks are tough on parents, I am not mad about spring break’s arrival this year. Even though I’m hoping by April we’ll start seeing some warm weather, I’m ready to get away for a warm-weather family vacation. We enjoyed more of a cold-weather vacation for winter break with some skiing and lake time, and while we had a great time, I’m ready to hit the beach now. Summer is still a few months away and we need some Vitamin D and palm trees. Plus, spring break makes me nostalgic for my own childhood — it’s always that time in the year you look forward to after the holidays when you can get some time off school and get away with your family. It seems like a lot of you are feeling the same and planning warm-weather getaways, because I’m getting tons of requests for spring break clothes for kids. Since I’m getting a lot of requests for girl clothes specifically, I thought I’d start with toddler girl vacation clothes. You should know that I use the term toddler loosely, as I consider my kids toddlers and probably will until they’re tweens. But these clothes will really work for ages 2 to maybe 7 or 8, give or take. I also have a roundup of beach essentials for toddlers and babies if you need some beach or pool gear for your trip btw.
There are so many cute toddler girl vacation clothes out there right now. I wasn’t going to get anything as I tend to buy clothes throughout the year when my favorite retailers have sales (usually end of the summer season etc.) and I just stock up on the next size or two up. But putting this edit together made me want to get a few things for the kiddos too. There are some sales happening right now (further proving my point that everything goes on sale now), but I feel like anything you buy now will last you from now through summer, so it’s a good investment. Plus, I’ve found in years past when I waited until summer to get stuff, shorts and swimsuits in my daughter’s size were often sold out, so it’s nice to be ahead of the curve, especially since with the fickle weather we never know when it’ll be time to break out the warm-weather dresses and skirts and shorts.
