We are back from our annual Christmas vacation in Park City, Utah. It almost didn’t happen thanks to Delta. I know Southwest was getting all the crap in the news, but Delta wasn’t doing much better. They canceled our flight on Christmas Eve even though the weather was perfect, and then it took four hours to get someone on the phone to help us rebook. We were rebooked for a flight two days later, so at the last minute had to spend Christmas at home without any plans/supplies. We made it work and it was still so special, but then at 3am before we were heading to the airport at 6am, they canceled our flight on the 27th. We managed to get rebooked to fly to Denver but then they canceled our connection to Salt Lake City and we were going to be stuck in Denver for three days. We decided to rent a car and drive to Park City, which would have been tough enough considering it’s an eight hour drive and we have three young children who had just been traveling all day and weren’t ready for a super long roadtrip. But then we hit terrible weather, like a crazy blizzard in bumble Wyoming and had to pull over for the night, which luckily we were able to do before we got into real trouble, but it took us twice as long to get to Utah and the roads were treacherous. But we made it, and we had a magical eight days in Park City, skiing and hanging out and eating and drinking with friends and family. It was so much fun, and I am glad we “fought for our vacation” as Andrew said, but will never be driving from Denver to Salt Lake in the middle of winter again. With our trip cut short and some seriously epic powder days that made for amazing skiing, I really dove into focusing on our trip and family for the week, so I didn’t take much time to document my ‘fits, most of which were snow pants and ski jackets. But I am sticking with sharing my weekly outfits, so here’s what I wore for a week in Park City 2023.
I have more extensive lists to help you pack for a ski trip, outfits I wore on a ski trip pregnant, what I wore in Park City the year before, and my favorite apres ski outfits. But I also like to show what I wear as I navigate real life, so I’m rounding up what I wore for a week in Park City 2023. Not super exciting and didn’t get a chance to document it all, but some good sweaters and jackets that I highly recommend.
