We are back from a week in Florida for the kids’ spring break and I’m exhausted but in the best way, if that makes sense. We went to Florida with the kids for some work (for me) and play for the kiddos and lots of family time. I mentioned this before, but I decided to plan a spring break that I thought was really optimized for the kids rather than trying to make it a relaxing vacation for all. I do not regret our trip in any way — we had an amazing time and I’ll always be glad for the memories — and this is total champagne problems, but I think family vacations with little kids can be a happy medium. I decided to plan a really cool kids activity almost every day and while we had a great time, it was exhausting and I realized midway through that some of the best moments of the trip were the unplanned ones when the kids were just splashing at the pool or throwing a teddy bear at dinner or “playing” ping pong before dinner. I forgot that down time and not having anywhere to be or anything to do is a treat for the kids too I guess. With that said, there were so many kid-friendly activities and accommodations during our trip that the kids loved and that were so fun for us all, so I will definitely write up our whole trip and I would highly recommend it as well as our visits to Universal and Disney. I guess my point is that we could have probably used one or two more do nothing days and I think as long as there’s a pool or beach, it doesn’t really matter where you go. But let’s get to the point of this post — what I wore on spring break 2023.
I realize our spring break is quite late so most of you have already returned from yours and are heading into summer. But I figured I’d round up my outfits because there’s lots of inspo for any warm-weather vacation you have coming up as well as summer (yep, it’ll be here before we know it!).
