It’s felt like such a whirlwind of a spring, especially with prepping for and then welcoming a new baby and then spring break and Easter coming two weeks later. Our spring break was rather uneventful this year, and I’m not going to lie, I felt bad that we haven’t been able to do much traveling as a family since Christmas. I know we could all use a break and getaway, and I love the memories and family bonding that comes with a trip. But I was grounded the last couple months of my pregnancy and then we couldn’t travel with a one week old for the kids’ spring break and now, we’re here and it’s the third week of April already. I am hoping we can make up for it by planning a super fun summer with some trips here and there. We had planned to go upstate but a pipe burst and wreaked havoc, so we stayed around and I tried my best to make it special. It was also a big test for me — I attempted solo adventures with all three kids and I’m not going to lie, it was a LOT. I realized after posting on Instagram about it that even moms with three, four or five (!) kids thought taking three kids to the zoo or farm solo was a lot and that doing it with a three week old was kind of insane. But we survived and I think the kids had fun. And it forced me to get dressed so I can once again share more postpartum outfits in my roundup of what I wore the third week of April 2022.
As you can see, it’s a mix of casual and leggings, with a dress thrown in for Easter (remember I compile these a week in advance) but I am proud of myself for putting on real clothes and attempting to look human. I actually do feel better when I’m dressed and feel myself compensating for the fact that I feel like I look like a zombie and I’m not in love with my leftover post-pregnancy wobbly bits, by stepping up my outfit game. I also have been doing way too much late night shopping to help me stay awake while doing those middle-of-the-night feeds. But I’m loving some of my new pieces, so at least I’m excited to share those even if I don’t look/feel my best in them rn. Here’s what I wore the third week of April 2022.
