This was a week. Like a WEEK. After flying to Chicago for a wedding, I had a week full of craziness. My nanny was sick, we had a huge snowstorm, and while normally I’d appreciate a snow day, I had a crazy pile of work this week and really didn’t need the mess of the commute. Oh, did I mention Andrew is traveling for work? So that’s all my excuses for why what I wore the last week of March 2018 isn’t complete and wasn’t much to write home about. But if you saw what the streets of the city look like right now, you wouldn’t blame me. It’s honestly just a gross slushy mess and it makes it hard to motivate to get dressed or want to wear anything nice. I’ve seen people slip and fall into that sludge and it’s not pretty. Snow in NYC is pretty for about an hour and then it’s just a huge gross messy inconvenience. I know that sounds cynical, but any New Yorkers know what I mean.
But unfortunately, I had to show up to work so I couldn’t take the week of getting dressed. I tried to ignore the gross situation outside and lean into boots and cute outfits to help me get through this crazy week. A lot of fun furs were in the mix. I did dare white jeans to give a nod to spring and later lived to regret that when they got splashed by sludge, but luckily, they’re Gap and easily washable. Now it’s time for the weekend and we are going to relax and rest up.
Here’s what I wore the last week of March 2018.
