There was a period in our lives when we spent every weekend at weddings (or wedding-related events) during our summers. We never had to make plans for the weekend because we were jetting around across the country and world to celebrate our friends’ nuptials. It was really fun and there were so many occasions to dress for, which I loved, but I remember also feeing exhausted by the end. It’s one of the reasons we chose to get married in the winter (but mainly because my husband wanted a ski wedding). These days, we attend far fewer weddings, and then when Covid hit, we didn’t attend a single one for a couple years. However, we’re now getting hit with a new wave of summer wedding invitations as the straggler single friends get married, some people get remarried, and then of course family weddings. And I know a lot of you are trying to figure out what to wear for all the summer weddings you’re going to.
