What I Wore the Last Week of August 2022

And just like that vacation is over and we’re back to reality… and school and fall?! We got back from Martha’s Vineyard and had one day before the kids started school, so needless to say, it’s been a whirlwind and fall has hit us hard. We are used to school starting after Labor Day, so I feel a little like our summer was cut short, but I don’t have time to feel sad. We’re crazy busy here with school, work, fashion week approaching, and figuring out this new tango. The kids started new schools, we’re moving into a rental at the end of the week near our new home, and life is coming at us fast. We’re still living chaos over here until we can move into our new home and finally get settled, but school and fall don’t seem to be waiting. There were so many back to school and work events and get-togethers this week, so I tried to step it up with my outfits for what I wore the last week of August 2022. It’s still hot here, but I wanted to bring some fall flavor into the mix so you’ll see a mixed bag in my attire. Now, it’s off to pack us up AGAIN for what I hope will be our second to last move for a very long time. My heart is feeling heavy as my kids are getting bigger (James started kindergarten, what!) and we’re moving to another town and leaving behind such dear friends and a special community. I know we’re making a great choice for our family long-term and we’re very excited, and as many of you know, I’m a nomad and love moving around, but I do wish we had more time for more proper goodbyes. Luckily, we’ll still be close enough and as Andrew reminds me, they’ll still be our friends. So here’s to a weekend of savoring old friends and enjoying the last licks fo summer before fall really arrives in earnest. But first, here’s what I wore the last week of August 2022.
