And it’s Halloween weekend! So Happy (almost) Halloween! I am not the biggest Halloween person tbh, but I do love it for my kids. I mean, I don’t love the sugar highs, fighting over candy and costumes, and the nonstop activities that leave everyone on the verge of a meltdown. But I do love the joy it brings my kids and remembering how much fun it was as a kid (and kid-free adult). With everything going on with the new home, work and life, I really didn’t have tons of time to think about Halloween until this week, so Brooks and Dakota got some bottom of the barrel discount costumes, but luckily, they’re so cute, they could pull off anything. 😉 I am definitely feeling fall. It looks like the perfect New England fall in our new town, and everyone is getting festive, so it really just feels so fun and has been inspiring me to dress for fall, as you’ll see in my roundup of what I wore the last week of October 2022.
I think my style is evolving with the cold weather and honestly, there’s just a shift in fashion, not sure if you’ve been seeing it, and I’m here for it. But I’m surprising myself by embracing the autumnal hues, which aren’t usually my jam, and I’ve been wearing more browns and jewel tones than I have in the past. But I’m also going hard on neutrals, which is my go-to when investing in something — well, it’s either a neutral I’ll wear a million ways or something bold that really makes a statement, but that’s a discussion for another day when Halloween parties aren’t waiting (you can read more about how I decide what to splurge and save on here). It’s off to kick off the spooky festivities, but first, here’s what I wore the last week of October 2022.
