This week was a whirlwind. Work was hectic with TV appearances, presentations, endless meetings, and of course, the Royal Wedding countdown (anyone else grateful just this once they have a kid who wakes up early so they won’t miss it?). The weather made dressing tough, as you’ll see from my roundup of what I wore the third week of May 2018 — it went from summer to fall to rain and humidity, and I don’t even know what’s in store this weekend, but I have a work event so I’m really hoping it doesn’t rain too much. I’ve decided however, that I’m fully committing to spring dressing even if it feels like the end of winter still some days. I just can’t go back. I won’t go back. Nope, not happening. Anyone else feel that way?
To that end, I’m leaning into jeans and pants with spring-y blouses, pretty spring dresses with sleeves, skirts and sweaters and then just topping off my more summery dresses with jackets and blazers. I won’t be stopped. My spring wardrobe is ready to come out. My sweaters don’t want to be worn anymore, and I even was probably overly optimistic and got a pedicure. Yep, I did it. Warm weather I am ready for you and I’m ready for spring dressing. And now it’s off to have some fun with the family and get gussied up for a nice event. Here’s to the weekend! We made it!
