And another month bites the dust as we get closer to reigning in 2024 (seriously, what in the hell? Where did this year go and how do we slow down time? Anyone else feel like life is moving way too fast?). I can’t believe we’re already in October and counting down to Halloween, but it’s time to get those pumpkins and costumes and treat bags if you haven’t already. We got our pumpkins and porch decor a couple weeks ago for James’ fall festival birthday party, but we are lagging on the costume front. Honestly, we have so many dress up costumes, I’m hoping my kids will just pick from there (last year I bought a bunch after Halloween and gave them to the kids in a toy chest for Christmas and it was a huge hit – highly recommend). Although we’re definitely in the middle of fall, the weather was really gorgeous this week and sunny during the days and felt more like end of summer. So as you’ll see from my round up of what I wore the first week of October 2023, I got to enjoy the final days of jeans and even short sleeves before boots and jackets season is officially here to stay (I’m not ready even though I know so many people are).
This week, I was running everywhere — meetings in the city, pick up, hockey practices, Zoom calls, email answering and more. It was a lot of getting dressed for the day at 7am to carry me through until 7pm so comfortable but polished layers that looked professional but also work for mom life. And now it’s time for a weekend of fall activities and Halloween shopping. Here’s what I wore the first week of October 2023.
