Coming off a long weekend is always hard. Even though it’s a short week, it always feels long, and it’s hard to motivate after what is usually a really fun and often, let’s be serious, indulgent, weekend. I was really on the struggle bus all week but I tried to pull it together in the wardrobe department (though I should have used a steamer as you’ll see in my roundup of what I wore the last week of May 2018).
This week was all over the place weather-wise, which didn’t help with my mood or energy (or make getting dressed any easier), and I never felt like I fully caught up on the work front. I was tired and crazed all week tbh, and basically just counting down to the weekend. My outfits were similar. Getting dressed was pretty much the last thing I felt like doing, and as you can see, doing my hair came pretty far down the list too. On those types of weeks, I lean into things that are easy to throw on and look instantly put-together — mainly dresses. They’re truly the easiest thing to wear. You just put on the dress, add shoes and you’re done. It’s also pretty hard to go wrong in the shoe department with dresses, whereas they get more complicated when you’re talking about pants and skirts. I did throw in some jeans, because sometimes you just can’t. And now it’s off to enjoy a relaxing weekend and to hopefully catch up on life and some rest. But first, here’s what I wore the last week of May 2018.
