Happy New Year! I realize I’ve already said this and it’s already a couple weeks into the new year, but I haven’t published a regular version of this series in 2025 yet, so Happy New year! I don’t really do style resolutions, but I feel like the whole internet is set on wearing what’s in their closet more, which I love. I try to show outfits that you can recreate with items at home and also share the links to what I’m wearing if you need to fill a hole or love a particular piece. But this is also my job, ya know? And if I share mostly old and out of stock clothes people get annoyed, so I try to do a mix. But I assure you, I only buy items that I think have longevity and I’ll wear for more than a season or a year. It’s part of the reason I haven’t been sharing a lot of fast fashion on here. A lot of what I’ve seen hasn’t been forever pieces, but even when I snag a great Amazon, H&M or Zara find, I’ll wear it for years. In fact, some of my most requested items that I wear are items I’ve bought from those retailers over five years ago. I never shop with a single season or year in mind, even wehn pregnant to be honest. But enough about my shopping strategy. Let’s talka bout what I wore the second week of January 2025.
This week was frigid and I haven’t been super inspired to get dressed tbh. I am forced to leave the house to drop kids at school and take them to activities or I’d probably be in the hibernating in pajamas all day with my newborn phase. But that’s the thing about having multiples, you can’t really do that. But it’s cold, I don’t feel like doing much outside the home, and I’m still trying to get my pants to fit, so getting dressed isn’t my favorite. Listen, I know it took a year to grow a baby and will take time to get back to a new normal, but sometimes getting dressed just isn’t that awesome postpartum (or after an indulgent holiday lol), ya know? And I think that’s okay too. But I had to get dressed and tried to look presentable even if there was a lot of dry shampoo and only a little makeup involved. Here’s what I wore the second week of January 2025.

I was so excited to discover your blog! I found so many ideas for a dinner and graduation event I had to attend, thank you!!
I just want to encourage you to keep your sense of humor and continue to love your postpartum body. I am a crazy busy hockey mama of 5 and I so get you. That postpartum body is such a wonky, beautiful, misshapen vase. You look incredible! Thank you for all that you share with all of us; you are appreciated
